The Unpacked Event 2023 is days away. Slated for 1st Feb, the event shall unveil the most anticipated smartphone catalog of 2023, the Samsung Galaxy S23 series. Amidst the three siblings, S23 Ultra has spent the most time in the leak circles. Here's the final roundup of specs we've collected on Ultra.
Design & Build
You won't be able to tell S22 and S23 Ultra apart at one glance. They have a similar build and the same P-shaped lens assortment. However, camera rings have synced with the phone's alleged Cotton Flower, Misty Lilac, and Botanic Green colorways. The frame is less chamfered around the edges, and the screen bezels are even thinner now.
Display
For the front, S23 Ultra supposedly carries a 6.8-inch AMOLED display. The panel has a pixel range of a QHD+ (3,088 x 1,440) screen. The newer dynamic refresh rate varies between 1-120Hz thanks to that LTPO 2.0 tech. The Ultra's high-end panel boasts 2000 nits of peak brightness and has corning Gorilla Glass Victus protecting it.
Core Specs
Samsung New Ultra model's shell has Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC mounted inside. However, it is slightly overclocked than SoC's mainstream version. They've paired it with LPDDR5X 8-12GB RAM and 256-1TB UFS 4.0 storage. The proprietary Exynos version doesn't exist this time. Under the frame lies a 5000mAh battery pack backed by 10W wireless and 45W wired charging. Its essentials are; ultrasonic fingerprint ID under the screen and Android 13 x OneUI 5.1.
Camera
Like its predecessor, Galaxy S23 Ultra boasts a quad-camera setup. Samsung's ISOCELL HP2 200MP sensor adorns the primary camera on this phone, sporting 8K 30FPS videos and OIS. Other sensors include 12MP Ultrawide 120-degree FOV, OIS 3X optical zoomer at 10MP, and OIS 10x periscopic lens at 10MP. With the S23 Ultra, you can take self portraits with a 12MP shooter.
