Samsung top of the line flagship handset isn’t scheduled to drop any time soon. However, rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra's successor have already begun pouring in. According to a tweet from the reliable leakster Ice Universe, S23 Ultra, the next S-lineup flagship will feature a 200MP camera sensor.
There’s no official confirmation from the Korean tech giant about this unidentified sensor behind the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra's camera, but we can deduce some results from the available leaks and info. Last month, Samsung announced the revolutionary 200MP ISOCELL HP3 sensor featuring the smallest per-pixel size ever. However, it became evident that the sensor wasn’t meant for the S23 series.
Another candidate could be the HP1 sensor, but the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra recently adopted it. It also won’t be the HP3 sensor as it got announced back in May, taking away the mysterious aspect.
The already available HM1 and HM3 sensors will also not sit inside the Galaxy S23 Ultra. This unknown sensor inside the Samsung S latest model could either be an upgraded version of the HM3 or the HP3 sensor, which is still under work by the manufacturer.
