Every year Samsung ranks up with the first-class combo of hardware and design for their S-series handsets. Given their history, it shouldn't be any different this year. Despite all the render leaks and gossip from the most credible industrial tipsters, the upcoming Galaxy S23 Ultra's design is still a mystery.
Samsung has done a fantastic job of keeping it all under wraps. No one knows for sure how their upcoming flagship S23 Ultra looks design-wise. Previously leaked renders of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra may color your thoughts with a completely revamped design on it — especially the camera unit on the back. But you should always expect a surprise twist from Samsung.
Ice Universe, a concrete source renowned for revealing the previews of all upcoming flagships, reports Samsung might keep the already functional S22 Ultra design for S23 Ultra. His central statement; the S23 Ultra will keep the same looks as its forerunner S22 Ultra.
Just a brief recap, the Galaxy S22 Ultra features a supremely curved screen flooding the entire front of the phone. The rear plate has five lens units separately protruding from the shell, making a P-shape layout. It has a quad-camera setup; one extra module is for Samsung's traditional focus-point laser.
The boxy-slab frame with pointy corners on S22 Ultra is reminiscent of the Note lineup on the Samsung price list. Since there are no Galaxy Notes anymore, to make the market transition smoother, Samsung will stylize each upcoming S-Ultra phone in the Note's memorable shape language.
In reality, Note and S-Ultra merging is just a way for Samsung to preserve Note's historic S-pen functionality. All facts and rumors add up to an S-Ultra phone having Note-like functions + shape format dubbed S23 Ultra. Of course, the design is not official yet. So we must wait for the Samsung S23 Ultra's official debut before drawing more conclusions.
