Samsung delivers another update to the Galaxy S24 FE to patch some newly found security issues. It’s the latest March 2025 update package that we’ve been seeing in other Galaxy devices as well. For Galaxy S24 FE, this may be the last security update before the company starts the One UI 7 x Android 15 deployment next month.
Galaxy S24 FE is also part of the roster, among the few high-end Galaxy devices to initially bring home the One UI 7 update in April. Samsung already confirmed the list of models to be updated with Android 15. For the time being, you should be aware of what’s new in the latest Galaxy S24 FE security patch for March 2025.
This device was recently found with several dozen critical security issues that needed to be addressed. Most of them impact the core Android system from Google, and some, of course, lie in the One UI 6 firmware. Samsung’s March 2025 security update patches over 58 vulnerabilities in total and the company marks 40 of them as critical.
Samsung Bulletin webpage slipped out the information on what features are being fixed with the March 2025 security package. Bluetooth Auracast, Galaxy Watch Gallery, MAC address, and improper access control might have some hidden security issues that Samsung addresses with the new firmware. These improvements further justify the Samsung mobile price across various segments.
Galaxy S24 FE’s international model SM-S721B is the one currently receiving this update in the European market. The firmware we spotted inside the package is “S721BXXS3AYB3.” Of course, once the cycle ends in Europe, we’ll start seeing the update in other regions as well.
Galaxy S24 FE users in Pakistan should also look forward to the update. Once it’s officially available in our region, your phone should pick it up and send you an alert to initiate the update. That is if automatic updates are turned off by default on your device. In case you have the option turned on, your device will schedule the update between inactive hours.
Users should also check for the March 2025 update manually by visiting Settings > Software update > Check for Updates. If and when the update has reached your Galaxy S24 FE, you’ll be greeted with a Changelog and the option to “Download and Install” the update. Tap the button, and your device will pretty much take care of the rest. For news about Samsung’s upcoming One UI 7.0 update, stay tuned.
