Samsung Galaxy S24 Series Wanders on to 3C Database; Charging Stats Confirmed

The anticipation for Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S24 lineup has been palpable, and new leaks are fanning the flames. China's 3C database has just spilled the beans on what we can expect from the lineup in charging stats. If you were pinning your hopes on a 65W fast-charging marvel for the Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus, it’s time to recalibrate those expectations.

According to recent listings on China's 3C agency, the Galaxy S24 series is set to stick with the old 25W and 45W charging standards. Specifically, the entry-level Galaxy S24 (model SM-S9210) will max out at 25W — unchanged from the Galaxy S23.

As for the higher-tier Galaxy S24+ (SM-S9260) and the S24 Ultra (SM-S9280), the company will be clinging to the 45W charging speeds we've come to expect. On top of that, it appears Samsung is persisting with its "bring-your-own-charger" policy, as the box won’t contain one.

Now, here’s the exciting part — while the charging tech isn't receiving an upgrade, battery capacities might. Allegedly, the Samsung 5G new models will boast beefy 5,000mAh batteries. The vanilla S24 is also expecting to receive a modest bump in its battery life, details of which remain shrouded in mystery.

Speculation is rife about whether Samsung will implement stacked battery technology in its higher-tier models, a leap that could be game-changing. Apart from the changes in stats, users will get a refreshed design this time.

A revered source from the world of Samsung leaks, the IceUniverse, pointed out that the upcoming Galaxy S24 and S24+ will adopt a flatter side frame design, aligning more closely with the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5’s aesthetics. Either way, the Galaxy S24 series is shaping up to feature familiar comforts and enigmatic possibilities. And as always, we’re here for it.
