Fresh details about the company’s next big thing, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, have emerged, and they're stirring the pot. Tipster extraordinaire @UniverseIce spilled the beans on X.com, giving us a sneak peek into the S24 Ultra's camera tech. And it's already sparking comparisons with Xiaomi's powerhouse, the MI 13 Ultra.

The S24 Ultra is said to sport a 10MP standard telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom alongside a 50MP periscope lens bearing a 0.7μm pixel size and a 1/2.52" optical format. When thrown in the ring against Xiaomi 13 Ultra's identical 50MP telephoto and periscope shooter, Samsung's S24 Ultra seems underwhelming — at least on paper.

However, before you decide to skip the device, remember Samsung has recently teased about a 200MP primary lens in their pipeline. Plus, word on the street suggests they might give their Exynos chip another go, sparking curiosity about what's to come.

Recently, the Samsung 5G new model snagged a 3C certification, revealing an intriguing 45W fast charging feature. As for the under-the-hood specs, we're looking at a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Exynos 2400 SoC (depending on the region), coupled with a jaw-dropping 2TB storage and 16GB RAM.

Not to forget the device's dimensions — 162.3 x 79 x 8.6mm, and a 6.78-inch Dynamic AMOLED LTPO panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone even crushed Geekbench testing, scoring 2223 in single-core and 6661 in multi-core tests.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra will also break previous brightness records, boasting a maximum peak brightness of over 2,200 nits. It marks a significant leap from its predecessor, the S23 Ultra, with a peak brightness of 1,750 nits. With more info expected to drop soon, the S24 Ultra still has plenty of time to unveil the remaining features. So stay tuned.
