Samsung's latest flagship, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, has secured the top spot in DXOMARK's display test, outperforming competitors like Google Pixel 8 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. With a global ranking of 155 points, the S24 Ultra surpasses its predecessors, showcasing significant improvements in display quality.

In the DXOMARK leaderboard, the Galaxy S24 Ultra leads with a good margin, earning praise for its exceptional quality. The Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel 8 follow closely, securing the second and third positions with just one point less. Meanwhile, the iPhone 15 Pro Max lags at the seventh spot with only 149 points.

DXOMARK's evaluation highlights the Galaxy S24 Ultra's impressive readability under sunlight, attributed to its advertised peak brightness of 2,600 nits. The device scores 161 points in readability, only one point shy of the Pixel 8 Pro. Equipped with Corning's latest Gorilla Armor, the phone boasts a screen that reduces reflections by up to 75 percent.

The new anti-reflective coating gives the Samsung flagship latest smartphone an edge over its competitors. It improves readability, content streaming, and visuals in varying conditions, ensuring the phone’s lead in DXOMARK’s display test.

While the S24 Ultra delivers accurate color rendering and effectively handles frame rate mismatches, DXOMARK notes some inconsistencies in screen brightness under different conditions. The benchmark testing revealed times of excessive brightness at night, insufficient brightness indoors, and elevated brightness during video playback in low-light environments.

Despite these minor nuances, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra maintains its lead in the display department, offering an immersive visual experience. While the device has a seemingly perfect display, DXOMARK highlights occasional unintended touches during gaming, which need to be improved.
