Samsung Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus Unveiled, Sporting a New and Improved Galaxy AI

Samsung has released three new Galaxy S series phones today, with the usual vanilla, Plus, and Ultra trio. Sadly, the Slim variant couldn’t make it. Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus are barely different from their forerunners, but the software, the Android 15 x One UI 7, to be specific, has brought many new and meaningful AI features. So, these two devices might be worth looking into after all.

Galaxy S25 and Samsung S25 Plus give you access to a Snapdragon 8 Elite (For Galaxy Edition). This one is tweaked with an overclock. Usually, the 8 Elite has its prime Orion V2 cores maxing out at 4.32 GHz, but these Samsung phones push it to 4.47 GHz. Of course, more clock speed means more heat, so Samsung tucked in a 15% bigger vapor cooling chamber inside them.

We are also pleased with the RAM upgrade this year, which is now 12 GB minimum for all three phones. This year’s AI boom has made it clear and even Samsung agrees that 8 GB RAM doesn’t cut it anymore, so you get base 12 GB RAM across the board. S25 has 128 GB storage at the lowest tier and S25 Plus has 256 GB.

The Samsung S new model only has a 4000mAh battery, so we don’t mind the 25W charging here. The S25 Plus is 4900mAh with, you guessed it, the very same 45W charging. Many tipsters sniffed out the Qi2 wireless charge upgrade coming. They were on point for the most part with 15W wireless input, but, magnetic alignment is still missing.

The display and body haven’t changed a bit. S25 is still 6.2” 1080p 120Hz with variable refresh rate and S25 Plus is also the same old 6.7” 1440p panel doing 120Hz and 2600nits brightness each. These newbies even bring over the IP68 rating, Armor Aluminium 2 frames, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 from the old models.

The centerpiece of this year’s release has been the Galaxy AI. Now Bar is a new AI option that’s right on your face when you unlock the phone and gives you info about the weather, your sleep stats, and energy levels. We’ve heard that it learns about your daily activities and makes suggestions based on your routine. Gallery Video Editor has a new built-in noise remover this time. Call Assist and live translate support even more languages.

If you do find the picture quality upgrade, that’s entirely software optimizations. Galaxy S25 and S25+ didn’t physically upgrade the cameras at all. It’s the same 50 MP main + 10 MP telephoto + 12 MP Ultrawide + 12 MP selfie assortment for both phones.

Samsung Dex, Stereo Speakers, WiFi 7, and the under-display ultrasonic fingerprint ID are some of their essential features. We hear that Samsung has already started pre-orders for Samsung Galaxy S25/Galaxy S25 Plus, and the prices are also the same as last year’s. Galaxy S25 will cost $799 (~PKR 223,000) and S25 Plus demands $200 more at $999 (~PKR 279,000).
