Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge — Key Features, Leaks & What to Expect

Galaxy S25 series event wrapped up with a big question mark about the fourth and new member, Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge. They did give a little peek at what’s under the hood, breaking down components of its design and build, but the rest is pretty much a blank slate, which the rumor mill is desperately trying to fill right now. This is what we’ve learned so far.

The first thing we know to be 100% accurate is the S25 Edge’s 6.4mm ultra-thin profile. The number is downright impressive, arguably record-breaking for a modern-day flagship. Unless some other brand beats Samsung to the punch by April, it could make a record once it launches.

You don’t need to imagine how thin the S25 Edge is. The demo unit showed exactly how it looks and is measured against others in the family, and you can look at the viral videos shot by the audience at the event. It has two rear cameras and almost the same screen size as the S25 Plus.

About the phone’s expected hardware, we know that S25 Edge shares DNA with the rest of the family, which means the same RAM, ROM, and Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. You should also know that the rumor mill believes the 8 Elite inside this Samsung new Edge model is a 7-core CPU, not the regular 8-core version.

You have to understand that the S25 Edge is super thin, so it doesn’t possess an avid cooling system like the others. That’s why the undervolted cut-down SD 8 Elite makes a lot of sense. It’s also believed that this handset is a 6.7-inch AMOLED device, possibly with an FHD+ resolution.

Rumors also point out that the primary sensor is a 200 MP resolution unit, the same as the Samsung mobile's S25 Ultra. A 50 MP or a 12 MP ultrawide might also tag along, completing the rear dual lens setup. Its third camera will be in the front, possibly with a 12 MP selfie shooter in the usual punch-hole cutout.

Its battery might be 3900mAh or 4000mAh, though we can’t deny the possibility of even less than that. The official launch is expected to happen in April so we might find more details along the way. Stay tuned!
