Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Leaked as a Slimmer Alternative to the Ultra Model

Samsung debuted the usual Galaxy S trio at the Unpacked event last month, though unpredictably, a fourth sibling was also introduced with the label “Edge.” We saw a demo for the new Samsung S25 Edge at the event, and now we are waiting for this handset to go official for retail. While we were waiting, a new leak spilled most of the phone’s hardware info.

This leak was first seen on X, and the tipster claims the S25 Edge could come with an LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2600 nits brightness. These features sound familiar since they are also available on the other three variants in the series. We have heard rumors that this screen might be the same size as the Galaxy S25 Plus.

In the same leak yesterday, we found out that this phone could use the 200 MP main camera that’s used by the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. Then, there’s the selfie camera, which is claimed to be a 12 MP shooter by the tipster. The material used for this device is an Armor Aluminum frame, so it will be tough as nails when it comes to durability.

Sadly, the leaker has mentioned Gorilla Glass Victus 2, which won’t be as durable or as anti-reflective as the Gorilla Armor Glass on S25 Ultra. Other specs he shared were charging speed, RAM, and USB configuration. The rest of the specs seem predictable, as the Samsung Galaxy latest model is joined to the hip with other siblings.

Galaxy S25 Edge will do multitasking on a 12 GB RAM configuration, just like the vanilla S25. WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 might be present onboard with a UFS 4.0 storage. That’s also an indicator that S25 Edge is bringing Snapdragon 8 Elite to the game, keeping up with the rest of the family.

This device will only do 25W charging through a USB C Gen 3.2 port, which is a bit disappointing, but you have to remember that this Edge variant is supposed to be slim. That means a smaller battery that won’t need as fast a charging speed as the Ultra.

We’ve heard reports that the S25 Edge is using a meager 4000mAh battery, so 25W charging should be more than enough. This new Samsung S25 Ultra sibling is trying to push the envelope with its 6.4mm thin design, and we can’t wait for the S25 Edge to launch in the consumer market.
