The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge was spotted on Geekbench a few weeks ago. For a device based on the Snapdragon 8 Elite, the performance yield from the S25 Edge was quite low in previous results. A new listing on Geekbench now shows the same device with significantly improved results, closing the gap between S25 Edge and S25 Ultra.
Galaxy S25 Edge is assigned the model code SM-S937N in this Geekbench scorecard. You can track the same number across multiple certifications, including a recent one in Europe. There were speculations that the device underperformed in previous tests due to one missing core on a custom-designed Snapdragon 8 Elite.
The latest results from the Benchmark tell a different story. It seems the S25 Edge kept the same 8-core Snapdragon 8 Elite chip as the other S25 models in the family. To be specific, it uses the 8 Elite “For Galaxy” variant. This platform is tethered with up to 12 GB RAM on Galaxy S25 Edge.
From what we saw on Geekbench, the Samsung latest S model with its top-of-the-line hardware assortment managed to score an easy 2969 in the single-core test and yield 9486 points on multicore. For context, these new results are far more promising than previous 2806/8416 single and multicore tests.
Per the details found on the internet, the S25 Edge will be an Ultra Slim flagship with a 5.84mm chassis, but it will come at an obvious cost: the battery backup. This handset was previously rumored with a 4000mAh battery, but in reality, it’s even worse. Galaxy S25 Edge showed its capacity at UL Demko certification, rated at 3786 mAh, and is likely to be advertised as a 3900 mAh cell.
Galaxy S25 Edge might have a 6.55” OLED 120Hz screen slapped on a 5.82mm ultra-thin chassis. That power-hungry Snapdragon 8 Elite chip will draw energy from a measly 3900mAh cell. The dual cameras on the phone’s back might be 200 MP (main) + 12 MP (ultrawide). Although these specs have been reported in leaks several times, we still advise waiting for Samsung’s official comment.
