Samsung Galaxy S25 & S25 Ultra Cases Leak: Design and Qi 2 Charging Revealed

Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series might have a Qi2 wireless charging standard, something fans have waited for a long time. The leak was reported last month. Galaxy S lineup will finally bench the Qi1 wireless support and upgrade the phones with Qi2, which could level the playing field with Apple’s MagSafe magnetic alignment.

We have spotted some leaked Galaxy S25 and S25 Ultra images in the wild to show what the Qi2 wireless standard will entail. Those renders have the Spigen Crystal Flex cases with a white ring slapped on the back to allow magnetic alignment for wireless chargers and power throughput.

It’s something we’re accustomed to with Apple’s MagSafe. You always need custom iPhone cases that work with Magsafe, sourced through Apple itself, or limited third-party manufacturers. It’s an extra cost you have to pay. Samsung’s seemingly headed that way with its Qi2-supported Galaxy S25 series.

You must’ve seen Apple cases with a centered magnetic white ring on the back, aligned with what you see in these Samsung's upcoming 5G handset images. This adds context to the previous leak: Samsung has used Qi2 wireless support and some magnets to align the coils for effective wireless charging.

But, this means the Qi2 charging standard will require you to spend extra on special cases, like the ones in these images. Spigen will be one of the suppliers for Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra cases with Qi2 among very limited third-party case makers. Of course, Samsung will also sell those cases, but the prices might be steep, so be ready to pay more, just like iPhone users.
