Samsung Galaxy S25+ Tipped with Battery Capacity Echoing the Previous Model

Samsung Galaxy S25 series keeps looking more and more similar to the older generations with each new leak we come across. There were some new renders of the S25 and S25 Ultra that leaked earlier by AndroidHeadlines and we couldn’t find any meaningful design upgrades for them.

GalaxyClub has added a new leak to the roster that says the Galaxy S25 Plus will not get any uptick in battery capacity and will be the same size as the S24 Plus’. Folks at Galaxy Club allege that the S25+ has a battery rated at 4755 mAh, and they’ll probably advertise it as 4900 mAh, all familiar numbers.

They did the same thing for the S24 Plus, and on paper, there are the same battery stats with 4900mAh Li-ion, so theoretical screen-on-time will not be any better on the S25 Plus. But, we all know that Samsung will find some clever way to optimize power use here.

Samsung's new semi flagship phone isn’t the only one stuck in this repetitive loop, because there are reports of S25 and S25 Ultra getting the same battery as last time. 4000mAh cell for the vanilla S25 and 5000mAh for the S25 Ultra, which means they will bank entirely on software and SoC efficiency for more screen times.

Even charging speeds haven’t gone up from what we can tell. China CQC tested the S25 Ultra for certification some days ago and it had 45W in their documents. S25 will loop back to a 25W charging, and so will the S25 Plus with its 45W charging.
