Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Departs from the Boxy Shape; Newly Surfaced Images Confirm

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra could usher in the design change fans have been waiting for. And we don’t say that lightly. Sure, the edgy corners of the last few Ultra phones look pleasing. But the looks get old quickly when the phone starts feeling uncomfortable in your palm. Great news for the future S25 Ultra, though. Leaks suggest it could have rounded corners.

IceUniverse is the source of today’s leak. He gave up some quality mockup images of the S25 Ultra, and from the looks, the change seems very promising. This new design has round corners. Well, they aren’t as round as the newer Pixel phones. But there’s a graceful balance.

One of those leaked mockups has an S Pen shown in white color. It hasn’t got any visible change. It’s the same size and shape as the old one, but the milky white color is new. In the other mockups, Ice has put the S25 Ultra side-by-side with an S24 Ultra and an iPhone 16 Pro Max.

The contrast between the S24 Ultra’s angular design and Samsung's upcoming flagship mobile’s rounded one seems fascinating. That flat screen up front remains with slim-cut bezels. And per some of the latest reports, the design updates might go beyond just the rounded corners.

Ice also hinted at a new rear and middle design that might be in the works. Where the last phone was fully flat from the back and the sides, the S25 Ultra may take a slightly asymmetrical approach. He believes this phone is concave from the back and flat on the front, so it keeps a comfy grip and doesn’t compromise the appearance.

But in the end, this design choice seems to raise more questions than it answers. And then there’s a question of this leak’s validity. We suggest waiting for the official sources to confirm if this is a design Samsung plans for.
