A new leak about the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra on X reveals its possible storage and RAM configuration. This phone will be heading out early next year, and we’re about to see three separate memory trims, two of which have 16 GB RAM. This is everything we know.
Jukanlosreve’s post on X seems to be a solid lead. With his background and track record, it’s no wonder the leak’s been cited by multiple publications. He claims the base S25 Ultra will be the same 12 GB + 256 GB RAM & ROM combo. Geekbench also confirmed it.
The other two variants have an upgraded 16 GB RAM: one combines it with 512 GB and the other has 1 TB storage. It’s quickly becoming a new standard for flagships. S24 Ultra only capped the RAM capacity to 12 GB in all the variants last time, so this seems to be a welcome upgrade.
Samsung tried and failed when they first unveiled an Ultra phone with this sort of RAM capacity. But it was an overkill at the time. S21 Ultra didn’t justify any use case where it might need that kind of juice. But that will not be the case with Samsung’s new flagship, since it has built-in Galaxy AI.
Their Galaxy S25 Ultra will process the tasks faster with more RAM built into the handset. More Galaxy AI options will start working on-board rather than relying on cloud-based AI processing, and with Snapdragon 8 Elite’s NPU, Samsung may even upstage Apple Intelligence.
