Samsung Galaxy S25 will be the next base flagship phone by this South Korean phone maker, and we now have a solid lead about its internals as Geekbench indexes it on the scoreboard. There’s confirmation about the top RAM option for the S25, the SoC info, and some test results.
This report puts a fine point on a long-rumored 12 GB RAM option for the vanilla S25. For the first time, Samsung lovers will see it not only with an 8 GB trim but also 12 GB, and finally, we won’t have to look at the base S25 as a lesser version of its siblings.
12 GB RAM is a big upgrade for the S25 over the measly and repetitive 8 GB option, and it should be a massive help for onboard AI tasks. SM-S931N is the model number for the Snapdragon-specific variant, a Snapdragon 8 Elite to be exact, dialed to 4.47 GHz frequency.
These are early scores and the Geekbench version used here is outdated 6.3.0, so the test results may seem a bit low. So far, we have seen 8 Elite do 3,000 plus single core and 10,000 multicore points on viral tests, but this scorecard shows room for improvement with 2481 single-core scores and 8658 multicore points.
Other specs are elusive, but we can confirm that all Galaxy S25 handsets will bear the Android 15 OS with One UI 7.0 on top. Exynos version may exist in some regions, but they might not rely on it as strongly as they did in the past. January seems to be the month for the Galaxy S25 series’ debut.
