Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 officially arrives in Pakistan. It’s a big score for our market. People have long waited for the phone to hit the local stores. And don’t worry, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 isn’t far behind. It should join the sibling shortly. Galaxy Flip 6 is all about internal upgrades and AI, while it keeps the appearance almost the same as before.
6.7” is the size of that internal bendable AMOLED. It’s a Dynamic LTPO panel of 1-120Hz, and the resolution is 1080p. They’ve upped its brightness to 2600 nits now. On the outside, though, the cover screen can only do 60Hz and 720p resolution. But all that works for a 3.4” sAMOLED with minimal use cases.
As for the best upgrade this year, we must tell you about Z Flip 6’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. 18% faster CPU-wise, 19% faster GPU, and 42% faster on the NPU. A boost to performance was a given, but that chip gave them the confidence to promise 7-year-long OS support.
They also upped the base RAM from 8 to 12GB. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 put on retail locally is a 12/512GB option. Also, if you compare it with the old Flip 5, there is an additional 300mAh power capacity here, and it’s up to 4000mAh now. So, it gives hours worth of added screen-on time to the Samsung Flip new model.
We can’t say the charging situation has upgraded. 25W wired plus 15W wireless charging are the same as before. But the camera game for the Flip 6 has gone way up. There’s now a 50 MP primary shooter in charge of photos. And the second in command is a 12MP ultrawide. Cropped into the screen is a 10 MP selfie camera.
Then we have an IP48 rating and armor aluminum build here. Z Flip 6 is more durable now than all forerunners. Out of the box, you get WiFi 6e. There’s Bluetooth 5.3. And yes, it has the latest One UI 6.1.1 x Android 14. In Pakistan, they’ve priced this phone at Rs 385,000/-.
