Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 Leaked Renders Uncover Some Unexpected Surprises

It’s obvious now that Samsung plans its next move to take over the foldable market with its next-gen Galaxy Z Flip 7. Some of the hidden details about the project were revealed recently in a leak, and we are excited to share these early findings with our readers and Galaxy fans.

Samsung wants to implement some design changes to this year’s foldable, and you can visualize them in the renders we’ve shared here. From what we can tell by looking at the images, the design philosophy strays far away from the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which intends to be slimmer. The Z Flip 7 seems to be getting the same thickness as before.

Keep the Galaxy Z Flip 6’s dimensions in mind for context. The old device was 165.1 mm tall, 71.9 mm wide, and 6.9 mm thick (unfolded). If we look at the leaked Z Flip 7 dimensions, it seems the phone has gotten taller at 166.6 mm, wider at 75.2 mm, but the same thickness as before at 6.9 mm.

Samsung sticks with its philosophy “Why fix something that’s not broken.” There are minimum to no upgrades in the design elements of the new foldable Samsung mobile. In the leak, we found that the folder-shaped outer display style is still going with its 3.6” size, but the good news is that the leaked inner screen has been upscaled to 6.8.”

This 6.9mm thickness means that the phone will bulge out of your pockets with nearly 15 mm folded thickness when slapped shut. Since the Samsung Z Fold 7 is rumored to have a miraculous 9.1mm thickness (folded), we can’t help but wonder why Samsung refused to do the same for the Z Flip 7.

There is a silver lining, though. Because Flip 7 maintains its thickness, the same high-end camera setup will show up this year without the compromises that usually come with foldables. That’s right! It will keep using the 50 MP main and 12MP ultrawide sensors on the back.

Even in renders, you can see that Galaxy Z Flip 7 barely has any upgrades, but it’s the little things that Samsung bets on to improve the user’s experience. This exclusive leak from Android headlines confirms we’ll get a slightly bigger screen this time. There’s still much we need to discover about the device before reaching any conclusions, but so far it’s safe to assume that Samsung isn’t taking any big risks with Galaxy Z Flip 7 either.
