Earlier this week, the official-looking promos of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip2 successor surfaced online. But the images had been pulled from poor quality screengrabs. Here to give us a better, higher-quality look at the clamshell device, the trusted European publication LetsGoDigital partnered up with the graphic designer Giuseppe Spinelli to whip up new product mockups.
If you have been following the Galaxy Z series leaks, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 should look all too familiar. Samsung's new design language for the next-gen clamshell gives one of the cleanest, practical, and polished builds from the Korean giant in recent memory.
First off, the split back panel has a frosted matte finish in a duo-tone palette. Instead of locking the cameras inside a clunky plate, they’re embedded right in the shell next to the cover display.
Think of the back of the Google Pixel 2 but with a secondary screen and a more expensive Samsung mobile price tag. The overall aesthetic is also more squared-off and muted.
The cover screen itself has grown to 1.83” (up from 1.1”), leaving more room for interaction with the extra OLED panel, all while maintaining the pocketability of the original Galaxy Flip. Samsung has toughened the back with Gorilla Glass Victus. Unfold the Z Flip3 to find a standard 20:9 display with a hole punch and an even bezel surrounding it.
Lastly, the dual-camera features a wide and ultra-wide lens array, based on speculation. You can pick from white, silver, violet, teal, and charcoal colorways. The Z Flip3 is expected to launch in July, alongside the Z Fold3.
