Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip2's successor AKA the Z Flip3 has been making headlines since yesterday. Its launch isn’t slated for a few more months, but the leaked concept renders give us a preview of the color options and its clamshell design. We also have a few speculative specs to report.
First published by GalaxyClub.nl, the product renders show that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 will be available in no less than eight different colorways: Violet, Beige, Navy Blue, Black, White, Gray, Green, and Pink.
Samsung’s recent Fan Edition flagship comes in a similarly diverse color palette, marketed as a lifestyle and fashion statement. The Galaxy Z Flip3 seems to have taken a page out of the same playbook too.
The concept renders don’t agree with each other on the camera count, but the lenses are encased in a Galaxy S21-esque housing. The camera plate melts into the frame and has gold accents contrasting with the shell. The Z Flip3 reportedly uses a blend of titanium and carbon fiber material for better durability. The handset is expected to be added soon to the Samsung price list.
You’ll also notice that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 cover screen has grown in size — from 1.1” to 1.81” to be more specific. The main OLED display is a low-powered LTPO panel that extends battery life by dynamically adjusting the refresh rate.
To no one’s surprise, the Z Flip3 is very much a premium flagship device. It’s powered by the top-end Snapdragon 888 and a 3200 mAh battery. Samsung even secured an IP rating for the Z Flip3 and has integrated the fingerprint scanner into the primary display.
