One week away from the launch. And out comes a big leak that dished everything about the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. Evan Blass spilled all their secrets when he got his mitts on the duo’s promo materials. Now, whatever they’ve planned for the Unpacked event, you get an early peep into it.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6

All the rumors you heard about the boxy rehash of the Fold design. Let’s just say they were on point. We hear the new build is slim and lightweight (239g), possibly because of the Slim Flex Hinge. And they are going with Armor Aluminum chassis and an IP48 rating resistant against water/dust.

Of course, they have AI jammed into every corner of the OS. AI Note Summary via Note Assist, Interpreter feature, and Circle to Search are all there doing the craziest stuff. They bumped the brightness up by 1.5x. It tops at 2600 nits now. That promo material wasn’t specific or anything. But they gapped their old Z Fold 5 by much in the performance section.

Their Z Fold 6 has stepped up the game. After all, it’s 18% faster CPU-wise, 19% faster GPU, and 42% faster on the NPU. There are 50 MP first, 10 MP (3x) optical second, and 12 MP ultrawide cameras. We noted that the cover cam was 10 MP, and inside, there’s a lens of 4 MP.

Even though 4400 mAh is the same size as before. Some hard and soft tuning helped Samsung get more battery life out of Z Fold 6. And 2X Dynamic AMOLED is there at 120Hz on either side. 6.2” on the outside, 7.6” on the inside.

Z Flip 6: they made it more compact. These accents around the camera are new. But we can’t say the same for the cover screen. This one’s AI is helpful for Chat history and chat suggestions. Of course, circle to search, and others are strutting in there.

There is something to say about that new prime 50MP lens. It might be better at portraits and low-light shots. ProVisual Engine and AI help snap quality photos if the hardware isn’t up for the job. They blew up the battery size here from 3700 to 4000 mAh. So it’s looking good on the run-times (advertised 23-hour video time).

IP48 rating is here, the same one as Z Fold 6. Gorilla Glass Victus 2 shields its 6.6” 2x Dynamic AMOLED folding visor. And it’s more durable because of it. A 3.3” cover display is on the outside, not more significant than the old one. And, unlucky for AMOLED lovers, this one is IPS 720p.
