Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Exposed with a Wider Cover Screen; New Boxy Design Leaked

Their Galaxy Z Fold 5 represents how far into the future the foldable tech has reached. But it's still a long way from perfection. We hear Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 6 may partially fix one of the main issues people have with the Z Fold 5. There will be a wider aspect ratio for the cover screen this time.

IceUniverse tipped away the primary design change we'll see with the Fold 6. He shared some pictures comparing Z Fold 6 and Z Fold 5. His leak foreshadows how distinct both generations look. We've seen that kind of boxy look before with the Galaxy S24 Ultra. And it plays to the strength of the cover screen as it's become more uniform and broad.

That tall and thin aspect ratio has continued with Samsung devices for over five generations. We've waited and waited for things to change with no resolve. Their persistence made the cover screen more decorative than functional. But things are looking up.

This new design on Samsung Fold new model you are seeing will better the cover's aspect ratio. And that will better its usability. Samsung will forego the circular edge design: only sharp corners from here on out. But IceUniverse cautions people not to take the above renders as they are.

Because they aren't accurate representations of what the device may look like to us in real life. But this is as close as we might ever get to Galaxy Z Fold 6 design.

Z Fold 6 is coming, and it will have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 at the heart. We may even see an IPX8 rating with it and a Gorilla Glass Armor screen. There will be an Unpacked event for Samsung Folding phones in Paris around 10th July. That means the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is closing in fast.
