Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim Reported as the Scaled Up, Slimmer Version of Fold 6

Here’s the big kicker for this week. July 10th is when the Unpacked event is happening in Paris. And there are Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 in tow. They both will launch as their routine items. But some time later, there may be a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim set to unveil. And it won’t only be slimmer but also bigger relatively.

The source of this leak is TheElec. They are posting credible stuff about Samsung phones and gadgets all the time. And about the expectations for the Z Fold 6 Slim: they are telling everyone that its cover screen and internal visor may have scaled up.

Just like before, that standard Galaxy Z Fold 6 will aim for no bigger than a 6.3” cover and 7.6” primary screens. But the slim version may shock people. They report it with an 8” internal foldable AMOLED. And when the size of the main screen has changed, that heads up AMOLED will become 6.5”.

If we go by this report, Samsung wants to launch the ‘Slim’ in the fourth quarter of 2024. We know the brand is not the risk-taker it was before. So, Samsung's foldable new phone will be a test run. See if it’s a viable item for their sales. TheElec reports that they only want to produce 400,000 to 500,000 units.

And there’s some more you should take note of. Because it aims for the 4th quarter, we may see this one with a better chip or cameras. After all, it will cross timelines with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 launch.
