One UI 7 has stopped rolling out to the Galaxy S24 devices and possibly others in the Samsung catalog. Even though the company has yet to make it official, this news was corroborated by multiple credible sources following a problem that was recently discovered in the new operating system.
Samsung officially deployed the One UI 7 update to all the global Galaxy S24 devices on April 7th last week. After doing rounds in a few regions, it has suddenly stopped appearing on the handsets, which puts a serious dent in the update schedule for S24 and other Galaxy phones.
Ice Universe broke the news about the suspended One UI 7 update globally. Not only that, but the discussions about it on Samsung’s Korean forums also report the same thing. Of course, this isn’t a permanent standstill, and Galaxy S24 users will start receiving the One UI 7 very soon.
However, this has the potential to delay the update to the rest of the Galaxy S, Z series, and Tablet devices, if not addressed quickly. According to the forum discussions and Ice Universe, the One UI 7 on the Exynos-based Galaxy S24 device, Samsung's new flagship model, was reported with a serious bug, which the company is trying to fix before more phones are updated globally.
The update might still arrive on Snapdragon variants in the US, which can be checked by going to Settings > Software Updates > Check for Updates. If you have an Exynos model, the bug in One UI 7 might be the reason why you haven’t received the update yet.
Of course, these are only speculations, and there might be other problems affecting the update cycle. We can’t know for sure until we receive official word from the company. Folks in Pakistan should expect the One UI 7 to reach the Galaxy S24 devices eventually. Make sure to check for updates regularly.
Once the update is made official in Pakistan, your phone should notify you via an alert. Some have the update alerts turned off, so they can manually look for it in the settings. After the phone connects to the server, you can “Download and Install” the package. We’ll let you know once Samsung starts rolling out the One UI 7 again. Best stick around and wait for the next story.
