Edge 20 by Sparx has finally arrived in Pakistan. It is a continuation of the brand’s flagship series, joining the locally available Sparx Edge 20 Pro from 2024. It’s been almost a year since the Deploy group brought the Pro variant to Pakistan, and we now receive its cheaper counterpart in the local market called the Edge 20.
Sparx revealed its highlights on the official landing page, and the device seems quite fascinating. This is a breakdown of its display, battery, and internal specifications if you are looking to purchase it. Sparx Edge 20 is built around an FHD+ AMOLED display that falls over the edges, just like its Pro cousin.
The 3D curved panel is 6.67” with a punch-hole crop for the selfie unit, and the device itself measures 8.8mm in thickness. Thanks to the chipset it uses, Sparx Edge 20 overclocks the screen to a 120Hz refresh rate on a 1080p display. MediaTek Helio G96 chip pulls the load here with 8 GB physical RAM, which you can also expand with virtual 8 GB additional memory.
We’ll find the handset in Pakistan with 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The Sparx new Edge model’s screen has minor protection from scratches and scuffs because of the AGT Dragon Trail Glass. There’s also a fingerprint on that AMOLED close to the bottom for convenient lock-screen access.
Then, we have a 32 MP selfie sensor behind the display, which seems to be an upgrade over the Edge 20 Pro’s 16 MP front shooter. From what we’ve gathered so far, Edge 20’s camera is mostly on par with the Pro with its 108 MP main lens, 8 MP ultrawide, and a 2 MP assistive sensor. That alpha unit is an ISOCELL HM2 sensor from Samsung.
Sparx 20 even has dual-SIM support and connectivity with LTE networks. Helio G96 will handle the phone’s default Android 13 operating system just fine, but it may be a tough pill to swallow since the rest of the industry has now adopted Android 15.
This handset does have dual speakers and loud audio, not to forget a big 5000mAh battery and fast 33W charging. You’ll be able to buy Sparx Edge 20 in at least three finishes: Emerald Green, Majestic Golden, and Elegant Grey. Deploy Group even gave the handset 1-year warranty. The vanilla Edge 20 officially costs Rs 49,999/- in Pakistan.
