Tecno brought the Tecno Camon 17 series to Pakistan over the weekend after a brief social media campaign. It features two phones — Camon 17 and Camon 17 Pro. Tecno Camon 17 is already up for pre-ordering for an early bird price. The duo will hit stores on June 11.
Tecno Camon 17
You can pre-register your Camon 17 at Daraz between June 5 and June 10. Tecno is knocking Rs. 800 off the price during this window. Plus, with every pre-order, you get a pair of free TWS Buds.
The Camon 17 features a 6.6” IPS LCD with a 720P resolution, 450 nits of peak brightness, and a smooth refresh rate of 90Hz. A single 16MP lives inside a hole punched through the display. On the back, there’s a 48MP camera and two extra sensors to pad the count.
The shell, available in Frost Silver, Deep Sea, and Tranquil Green, also includes a 3.5mm audio jack and a side-facing thumbprint reader. It’s all backed up by a 5000 mAh battery that can fast-charge over 18W.
The MediaTek Helio G85 is at the heart of Camon 17. You get 128GB of storage, and 4GB/6GB of memory is combined with this hardware. It starts from Rs. 24,999.
Tecno Camon 17 Pro
The Pro model is the higher-end of the two models with better cameras and faster charging. Its display is a 6.8” LCD, featuring a 1080P resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and 500 nits of peak brightness.
The hole-punch here houses a 48MP selfie camera. The rear camera uses a 64 MP f/1.8 lens, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and two 2MP mono and depth sensors. Camon 17 Pro has a side-facing thumbprint reader, dual stereo speakers, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
It’s powered by a 5000 mAh battery and 25W charging. The Pro also uses a faster G95 chip that works with 8GB of memory and 256GB of storage. Android11-based HiOS runs across the board on these phones.
The price for the Pro variant in Pakistan has not been revealed yet. Considering the Camon 17 Pro to be one of the high-end devices ever built by Tecno, WhatMobile expects a price tag anywhere between Rs. 40,000 to 47,000 PKR.
