After globally unveiling the Camon 19 Pro in New York, Tecno is all geared up to launch the phone in the respective markets. The handset is already available in some African countries and will start rolling out soon to Asia, including Pakistan. The pro edition of the Tecno Camon 19 lineup has recently clinched the iF Design Award 2022, offering a plethora of competitive features at an incredible price. Here’s a brief overview of the spec sheet.
The 5G variant of the Tecno Camon 19 Pro made it to the headlines being the world’s first phone to benefit from a Samsung-made 64 MP RGBW sensor. But as the 5g Edition is least expected in the Pakistani market we'll only dive into the 4G model's specs.
Upfront is a 6.8’’ Full HD+ 120Hz AMOLED panel having a centered punch-hole cutout for the 32 MP selfie camera. Switching to the back reveals a stunning diamond coating design on Camon 19 Pro, representing a starry night sky. The rear also features a triple camera layout housed in two circular rings.
The 64MP primary shooter on Camon 19 Pro 4G supports OIS but no RGBW technology here as found on the 5G Edition. The main sensor captures 30% more light for stunning night shots coupled with 50 MP telephoto and 2 MP depth lenses. The brand has also equipped the New Pro Tecno mobile with the slimmest, 0.98 mm, bezel in the industry.
Under the hood is an Helio G96 chipset, the same as the 19 Pro’s predecessor, with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. This is still a competent setup backed up by a mighty 5,000 mAh battery cell supporting 33W Super Flash charging. The device comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB of fast UFS 2.1 storage options, supports a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and comes pre-loaded with Android 12.
With a global price tag of $280, we infer the Tecno Camon 19 Pro 4G to cost anywhere around Rs 50,000 to 59,000 PKR. The handset will be available in Polar Blue and Eco Black color variants.
