We said last week that a Tecno Camon 30S phone was headed to our market, and in only a few days, it has just arrived on our doorsteps in Pakistan with everything that was promised to us. This one is a curved 3D AMOLED ultra-thin handset, and that’s one of the first unique things about it that you will notice.
It looks premium due to that curved build, front and back, and for the camera design, they chose a circular disc on the rear side. There’s even a glossy metallic stripe that goes around the camera with some specs etched on it that it’s a 50MP OIS shooter on a Sony IMX 896 sensor.
Of course, on top, we see Camon 30S made with a solid 6.78” AMOLED that’s concealing a 50 MP selfie unit and even a fingerprint ID. One of its better qualities is an Always-on-display, and also, we shouldn’t overlook the fact that it’s FHD+ 120Hz 1300 nits.
If we go by the official product page, this one is a light 13 MP selfie shooter, and the rear panel has that typical 50 MP + 2 MP sensor duo, but at least OIS and 1/1.56” aperture make it special. That Helio G100 engine used for this Tecno 5G new mobile makes it a tad stronger than others in the family tree.
This chip can handle Android 14 and a tight system like HiOS without struggle, and to run this phone, they stick a 5000mAh battery in it. There are options like 33W charging, NFC, or even dual speakers, all rolled into one 7.6mm body, and for such hardware, this (8/256GB) Camon 30S easily fits the bill at Rs 62,999/- in Pakistan.
