Tecno Camon 40 Premier, Camon 40 4G Certified and Ready to Hit Global Markets Soon

Tecno is about to release a new set of phones to take over the mid-range segment. We are talking about the Tecno Camon 40 squad here. The best phone in the series will be the Camon 40 Premier, and it was signed off by a regulatory body in the US. Camon 40 4G, probably the cheapest among the line, has cleared a certification in Thailand.

The company only saves the Premier tag for its best device in the Camon lineup, and it’s the same deal with the 40 series. FCC database in the US showed that Camon 40 Premier has the model code “CM8,” which is a helpful hint if we need to recognize this device in future certifications.

Information on the FCC listing was the bare minimum, but we at least have confirmation of the phone’s 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, as you can see in the IMEI tag on the Camon 40 Premier’s backplate. What you see in the image is a blueprint, which should give you some idea of how the phone looks.

Camon 30 series had the circular camera ring offset to the left side, but the Tecno Camon new models might center its position. But the newbie’s appearance is very similar to the old design. That square-shaped lens is probably a periscope telephoto. Again, that’s something Tecno only reserves for Premier phones.

It seems Tecno Camon 40 Premier has three more lenses, but they have little to no info available yet. FCC also ratted out the phone’s charging adapter, which may be a fast 70W brick. Its battery specifications are nowhere to be found for now. So, we might talk about it in future posts if the details leak.

The old Camon 30 4G uses a 6.78” AMOLED, a 120Hz refresh rate, and everything comes together with a Helio G99 Ultimate CPU. Even Camon 30 4G scored the 70W charging x 5000mAh power solution. And if this is the legacy Camon 40 is built on, we can expect great things from the newcomers.

Camon 40 4G is a budget phone referred to as the model number CM6 in the NBTC certification. Sadly, no specs have come out belonging to this vanilla 4G version. The Tecno Camon 30 4G was a decent build, and if the newcomer is anything like its successor, it may be another big hit in our market.
