It was only a matter of time before a Camon 40 device made a formal appearance on a certification platform. We’ve been hearing about the new lineup for weeks, and today, the vanilla Camon 40 Pro 4G cleared FCC certification, revealing not only its connectivity but also the design blueprint and hardware schematic.
Tecno assigned it the code ‘CM6’ on the FCC certification. The first and most important detail in their documentation is the battery capacity x charging speed. Camon 40 Pro seems to use a 5100 mAh cell, which is to be expected from an entry-level device.
FCC also tested the charging input for this battery at 11V and 4.1A. That means, the Camon 40 Pro can refill the battery at fast 45W charging. Tecno may be getting rid of the circular camera design, and use a minimal in-line triple silo design instead. Three lenses stacked on top of each other.
Its dimensions are also present on the FCC’s file, and the Tecno's future Camon model may be one of the slimmest phones yet. This is a 7mm thin phone, 75mm wide, and 165mm long. A precise antenna layout is also given in the FCC’s documentation for the phone.
We’ll find the Camon 40 Pro 4G with WiFi 2.4GHz & 5GHz dual-band, Bluetooth, and NFC connectivity. Among the images FCC exposed, the design blueprint has a label with 8/256GB RAM and storage configuration. Since this phone is LTE-only, it could be using a MediaTek Helio chip.
