Tecno Camon 40 Series Appears on IMEI Database; Hints at Three Upcoming Models

Their Camon 30 series will soon run out of cycle, and in a few weeks, Tecno will be pushing out its Camon 40 series to replace the old phones. We have proof that this lineup is in R&D because the IMEI database has just cleared all three of its phones with name tags Tecno Camon 40, Camon 40 Pro 4G, and the lead unit Camon 40 Pro 5G.

They assigned the model code ‘CM5’ to the Camon 40 4G phone on this IMEI database listing, and even though there’s nothing else about it in their record, this could be the starting point of a leak spree for it. And the same goes for all other siblings.

They recognized Tecno Camon 30 Pro 4G with the model code ‘CM6,’ plus, for the Camon 30 Pro 5G, there’s the code ‘CM8.’ No one knows what specs are waiting for us down the road with this Tecno Camon's latest models, but if it’s even a little bit of an upgrade over the current generation, it will be a great lineup.

Take Camon 30 Pro for a case in point. This is a 6.78” AMOLED 144Hz device, and at the helm, they mounted a Dimensity 8200 Ultimate chip. It’s already such a powerful phone and the cameras are even more so, bundling 50 MP first, 50 MP ultrawide, and 50 MP selfie unit in one package.

Pro aside, even the standard Camon 30 4G doesn’t hold back in any category. They used a 6.78” AMOLED for it, a 120Hz refresh rate, and everything comes together with a Helio G99 Ultimate CPU. These Camon 30 devices were Tecno’s first with 70W charging x 5000mAh power solution. And if this is the legacy Camon 40 is built on, we can expect great things from the newcomers.
