The Tecno Camon 40 Series is almost here. Both Tecno Camon 40 and Camon 40 Pro are now available for pre-orders in Pakistan and you can reserve either of these models by depositing Rs 5,000 at your nearest retail store. The pre-orders are open till April 4th.

For folks reserving the devices early, you’ll get a one-year service extension, an exclusive gift, and a chance to participate in a lucky draw for big prizes. Neither Camon 40 nor Camon 40 Pro have revealed their prices yet, only the reservation fees and a pre-sale countdown, which will hit zero in 13 days. That’s your window for early booking before the devices are officially released in Pakistan. This is what you can expect for the lineup.

Tecno Camon 40 Pro

The Camon 40 Pro gets a better selfie camera and water resistance. Another major difference between the two is the Camon 40 Pro’s curved front panel with a 6.78” size and Gorilla Glass 7i protection. It’s 1080p FHD+ AMOLED, pushing pixels at a 120Hz refresh rate.

Camon 40 Pro can do underwater photoshoots, all thanks to IP68/IP69 water resistance. The phone can be submerged in 2m deep water for 30 minutes straight without any damage. This handset has a 50 MP Sony LYT-700C sensor as the main camera and an 8 MP second sensor for ultrawide shots.

The best part about its camera setup is a 50 MP selfie snapper with Eye Autofocus tracking for the sharpest face portraits. Tecno AI is also a big part of the package with its HiOS 15 x Android 15 operating system. It has several AI features, like Circle to Search, AI Studio, AI translation, and AI Noise reduction during calls, which you can access the new Tecno AI tools by swiping right on the home screen.

There’s also a fingerprint under the screen and a dedicated AI button on the side. This phone is built around a Helio G100 (6nm) SoC, which you can categorize as a mid-range chip. In Pakistan, you’ll only find this model in an 8/256GB trim. Camon 40 Pro has a 5200mAh battery wired to a 45W charging kit, which Tecno claims can recharge the device by up to 50% in 23 minutes or 100% in 43 minutes.

Tecno Camon 40

It’s a similar-sized beast but with a flat AMOLED display on the front. The panel is 120Hz with a sharp 1080p FHD+ resolution and brings an Always-on-Display. Camon 40 even has a Panda King Glass for screen protection and an IP66 rating for minimal water protection with a fingerprint reader under the screen.

Camon 40 uses a 32MP camera on the front for selfies, but it doesn’t have eye-focus here. The rear sensor is the same 50MP Sony LYT-700C main shooter, which can do an AI Best-Moment photo or a FlashSnap with one click. The secondary lens on the back can shoot 8 MP ultrawide photos.

This handset has the very same Tecno AI suite with a bunch of integrated features on the HiOS Android 15 system. A Helio G100 chip handles the UI with only 8 GB RAM for multitasking. The only variant in Pakistan will have 256 GB storage. Both phones have the same 5200mAh battery that’s guaranteed to last at least 5 years with its 1800 cycles. Even though it is the base model, Camon 40 gets the same 45W fast charging.

The prices in Pakistan for these models are unclear at the moment, but Tecno should reveal the details as soon as the pre-orders close on April 4th. We’ll update the Camon 40 and Camon 40 Pro price tags on WhatMobile after they are launched for retail.
