Tecno Phantom V Fold2 & Flip2 Now Available in Pakistan; Refined Designs, Built-in AI, and Much More

Folks at Tecno may be the only ones crafty enough to build a Fold that is sub-$1100 and a Flip clamshell phone that is sub-$700 in price, and this is the second time they are doing it. Tecno Phantom V Fold2 and Phantom V Flip2 have now gone official in Pakistan alongside other global markets, and they’ve already started handing out press releases to the media.

Design elements have changed on both and they let go of the older styles entirely with Fold swapping the circle module for a rectangle one and the Flip mounting a full-size screen on the cover. We even learned that the V Fold2 has a digitizer panel, so yes, there is full active stylus support here.

Tecno has put in the hard labor to make Fold2 slimmer so it is one step closer to an ideal form at 6.1mm when unfolded and 12mm thick in a folded state. Also, they have cut its weight down from nearly 300g to only 249g, lighter by almost 50g, and it even gets a bigger battery with the weight loss.

Fold2 design is better without question, but there aren’t many upgrades specs-wise, because there’s the same old Dimensity 9000+ and the same screen sizes. 7.85” inner and 6.42” cover haven’t changed and neither have the LTPO 120Hz AMOLEDs, although we did notice an uptick in brightness from 1100nits to 1600nits.

Their last V Fold didn’t have it, but an IP54 rating is there on Phantom V Fold 2, plus stylus support so we can write and draw on it, just like those other premium Folds. Ultrawide + primary + telephoto, all three sensors on the back of V Fold2 are 50 MP shooters, and the two selfie snappers are 32 MP each (inside and out).

V Fold 2 will recharge at 70W speeds, and its 5750mAh cell can go from 0-50% in 20 min because of this hardware, unlike the 45W on V Fold 1. Also, the Fold 1 didn’t have wireless but this time they gave it 15W wireless charging. 12 GB RAM and 512 GB are base V Fold 2 memory specs, and Rs 369,999/- is its official Pakistani cost.

Tecno Phantom V Flip 2

A big change with this one is the cover screen as its size has gone way up from 1.32” to 3.4” at 1056 x 1056 square resolution. It is now a full-size screen, instead of a dial, and it even swallowed the cameras like Moto Razr’s and Xiaomi Mix Flip. The inside panel is the same old LTPO 120Hz AMOLED at 6.9” and your usual 1080p resolution.

There is even better utility for the cover screen because Tecno said it has over 2000+ supported apps in that boxy aspect ratio. Those two cameras you see get 50MP resolution sensors each, and the ultrawide one has gained an FOV of 150 degrees, so it should work way better in tripod mode.

That selfie lens on the main screen is a 32MP Autofocus unit. 4720mAh battery is quite an upgrade, and it is a huge bump over the last generation V Flip that only had 4000mAh. 70W input is also present here but given the smaller capacity, a 50% charge on V Flip 2 is possible only in 15 minutes.

AI Translation, AI Writing, the voice assistant Ella, and other AI stuff that the V Fold2 has, V Flip2 has them as well, and they didn’t discriminate one over the other. Rs 199,999/- is the base price for Phantom V Flip2 (8GB/512GB). And product listings for both Flip2 and Fold2 are now live on Daraz.
