Tecno, the maestro of innovation, gears up to unleash another game-changer in the realm of foldable smartphones. Brace yourselves because Tecno is about to set the market on fire again, this time with a spectacular clamshell folding phone known as the Tecno Phantom V Flip!
The Phantom Fold V made waves as the cheapest horizontal folding phone. Meanwhile, the clamshell folding category has been soaring in popularity. Competitors like Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5, OPPO Find N3 Flip, Motorola Razr Ultra, and Vivo X Flip have all joined the fold, quite literally. And now, Tecno is stepping into the ring with its Phantom V Flip.
The device has been creating a significant buzz lately, with leaked renders and a tantalizing hands-on image giving us a sneak peek into its design and features. The excitement only escalates as the Phantom V Flip secures Bluetooth SIG and FCC certifications. More recently, it has also appeared on the Google Play Console listing.
Diving into the specs, we discovered a 6.9-inch primary AMOLED display. Like all the competing foldables, Tecno is not stopping at just one screen! The new Tecno Flip mobile will also flaunt a circular module on the rear panel housing a 1.39-inch secondary screen and a camera ring that proudly accommodates 64MP and 13MP sensors.
Tecno's unique approach to accommodate cameras and cover display under the same housing is bound to turn heads. Appearance aside, the Phantom V Flip also plans to feature a MediaTek MT6893Z/CZA system-on-chip, likely the mighty Dimensity 1300, paired with a Mali-G77 GPU. Users will get 8GB of RAM and Android 13 by default.
Let's not forget the power! The FCC certification spills the beans on not one but two batteries, a whopping 1,165 mAh and 2,735 mAh, making a total of 3900 mAh capacity. The handset will bear super fast charging at up to 45 watts.
