Tecno Phantom V2 Fold Picks up the Bluetooth SIG Certification; Launch Imminent

From the makers of Phantom V Fold, we believe there’s another foldable phone close to launch. Tecno Phantom V2 Fold will replace the original one, but they might tinker with its recipe to make it more stable. Today’s news is on a recent Bluetooth SIG certification with details we didn’t know before.

MySmartPrice found the Phantom V2 Fold on Bluetooth SIG. ‘AE10’ is the model number they associated with it. EEC’s database had an entry with the same code before. But now we know it was Phantom V2 Fold. That SIG certification wasn’t that helpful about specs, nor was EEC.

The only useable detail in this document is the BT version. After reading the file, we are positive that V2 Fold has Bluetooth version 5.3. Earlier ahead, we saw all sorts of reports on its hardware. Among those was a Geekbench report as well that demystified its internals.

Geekbench says there is a MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ CPU inside the Tecno latest Phantom model. It’s a flagship fold, so a flagship SoC is appropriate. Next up was the RAM option. Geekbench tested it with 12 GB RAM. Android 14 is the default OS for their Phantom V2 Fold, that goes without saying.

Testing on Geekbench resulted in 1,273 points (single-core) and 3,844 points on all eight cores. You can tell it’s not reaching the scores of current flagships but who knows? Something might change by the time they launch it.
