Previously, official sources informed us of the Pakistani market not getting the Tecno Phantom X. But for some reason, the decision is now amended. According to the latest insides, Tecno's first premium phone is soon coming to Pakistan. Featuring a silky glass sandwich design, a high-end camera, and a curved display, the Phantom X is slated for launch in August 2021. An official announcement is expected soon which may also reveal a definitive release date.
The display is a 6.7” SuperAMOLED panel that fills a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, refreshes at 90Hz, and delivers a 1080P resolution. We find a wide pill-shape punched through the corner. Tecno Phantom X is toughened with Gorilla Glass 5 and houses an optical fingerprint scanner underneath the screen.
Flip the Phantom X over to find a chamfered backplate, offered in Monet’s Summer and Starry Night Blue. Monet’s Summer is iridescent while Starry Night Blue has muted but elegant tones to it. A triple-camera cluster is embedded in the central island.
The wide lens of the new Tecno mobile 2021 has a 50MP sensor behind it, joined by an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 13MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. Phantom X's dual selfie camera can shoot portraits in 48MP wide and 8MP ultrawide modes. For snappy autofocus, the Phantom X also has a Laser AF module.
Tecno Phantom X has the MediaTek Helio G95 at its heart, powered by a massive 4700 mAh battery. The device ships with a 33W charger that delivers a 70% top-up in just 30 minutes. Tecno has integrated a liquid cooling system to manage heat dissipation.
It comes in a single 8GB+256GB edition. The HiOS 7.6, based on Android11, runs on the Phantom X out of the box. The exact price would be revealed at the launch but WhatMobile expects it to be anywhere around Rs. 59,999 to 69,999 PKR.
