Tecno Phantom X2 & Phantom X2 Pro Debuted; Exotic Cameras & True-flagship Specs

Following the slated date, Transition Holdings Chain, Tecno, has officially launched the Phantom X2 series. Two siblings have broken out, Phantom X2 and X2 Pro. Both models have astounding sets of features crowing them with the title of true premium flagships.

Currently, the Tecno Phantom X2 phones are only available in select few regions across Europe and the Middle East. More countries will follow shortly. While the retail on both models shows a significant price gap, the phones only differ in camera stats. The rest of the specs are similar to each other.

The highlighting trait on both Phantoms is the center-aligned camera taking up almost the entire upper half of the phone’s body. Phantom X2 Pro has a 50MP Samsung JN1 retractable portrait camera that can go back and forth, zooming 2.5 times at an f/1.49 aperture. The primary lens with the orange ring has a 50MP Samsung GNV sensor. The supportive lens backs a 13MP Samsung 3L6 ultra-wide unit.

Phantom X2 doesn’t have an accented ring around the lens like the new Tecno Pro mobile. The standard X2 uses a 64MP Samsung GWB primary camera with OIS, a 13MP ultrawide camera with support for macro vision, and a 2MP depth sensor. Both siblings have a punch hole aligned with 32MP selfie snappers. Both models carry a 5,160mAh battery under the hood with 45W power support.

Aside from the obese camera setups with unreal lens aperture, both siblings have high-end curved AMOLED panels spanning 6.8-inch across with 120Hz refresh rates, 360Hz touch sampling rates, 10-bit colors, and Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

Boasting true-flagship experience, both Phantom X2 and X2 Pro fire MediaTek’s most powerful Dimensity 9000 SoC at the core, paired with a vapor chamber cooling solution, LPDDR5x RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage. The vanilla Phantom X2 with 8+256 config starts at 718$ (~160,000 PKR), and X2 Pro with 12+256 config starts at 930$ (~208,000 PKR).
