Tecno POP 5P Makes its Global Debut with a 5000 mAh Battery and Entry-level Specs

Tecno just released a new edition of its ultra-budget Pop 5 smartphone. The new Pop 5P made its debut in Nigeria, and it should head to more markets shortly. In terms of specs, it's nothing like the recently launched Tecno Spark 7 Pro, the Pop 5P is as bare-bones as it gets. Its connectivity is limited to 3G, and the storage also feels out of place in 2021.

The Tecno Pop 5P is listed on an online retail store, featuring its specs and pricing. Only one preview is attached with the product listing, but we can expect more promo images once the Tecno Nigeria website updates.

Tecno Price in Pakistan 2021

We start with the display that is a 6.52” IPS LCD, delivering a 720P resolution. It’s surrounded by heavy bezels and a notch. The cutout is used to house an 8MP selfie camera. Flip the Tecno Pop 5P over to find a dual-camera system featuring two 5MP lenses. Plus, you get a convenient rear-facing fingerprint scanner.

The chipset inside the Tecno Pop 5P is not specified, but it rocks an underpowered quad-core CPU and a 3G modem at an entry-level Tecno mobile price. Naturally, hardware at this low end cannot efficiently run the fully-fledged modern Android. So Tecno ships the phone with the Go Edition of Android10-based HiOS optimized for entry-level phones.

It’s all powered by a 5000 mAh battery without any quick-charging support. The Pop 5P comes in a single 2GB+32GB edition, expandable via a microSD card. It starts from NGN 44,000 (~ Rs. 17,500.)
