Tecno’s Pop series has been behind the curtains for a while now, and it seems they’ve been whipping up a new Tecno Pop 9 lineup for us consumers. A fresh teaser that we saw earlier claims they want to unveil the Tecno Pop 9 5G on September 24th and it could be the segment’s first 48 MP phone.
They will use a SONY IMX582 48 MP lens for Pop 9’s rear camera, and since none of the other brands have ever done it before, they tagline it with “Segement’s first.” There are many other details on their official overview page, and here’s what to expect from this phone.
It is a 5G phone and a cheaper one at that. So, they used an entry-point Dimensity 6300 chip to drive it and there are only two possible memory options you’ll see here with either 4/128GB or 4/64GB. Remember, even if it has the prospect of high performance, the low RAM will probably bottleneck it.
Because of that chip, they even promise 4+ years of lag-free software, and among other guarantees, they even include IP54 waterproofing. That panel on the front of Tecno future's 5G phone will be a punch-hole crop 120Hz with very minimal bezels, and there’s a chance it will be HD+ resolution.
We don’t see anything out of place about its 5000mAh battery or 18W charging speeds, but other features like IR blaster NFC, dual Speaker Dolby Atmos, etc. make the Tecno Pop 9 5G very special. Its price could be in the ballpark of $120 (~PKR 33,000).
