The new Tecno Pova 2, from the brand’s line of budget-friendly gaming phones, is now available in Pakistan. Following a short pre-order window that started last week, the Pova 2 is here. It packs a mega-sized battery and budget gaming chip. We’ll review what this value phone has to offer.
MediaTek Helio G85 is the engine inside the Tecno Pova 2, featuring an eight-core CPU clocked at 2.0 GHz. Its screen responds at a high 180Hz touch sampling rate. The System Turbo 2.0 and ET Engine improve graphics performance to make for a more immersive experience.
Game Space 2.0 adds extra features like network acceleration, voice changer, Magic Button for mapping trigger buttons to the volume rockers, and WeZone for LAN multiplayer gaming.
To keep the gameplay going uninterrupted, the new Tecno Mobile Phone has a massive 7000 mAh cell. Tecno promises no less than 23 hours of gaming and 28 hours of call time out of a single charge. The charging brick in the box quick-charges the Pova 2 over 18W. Ten hours of recharging is enough to last 20 hours of music playback. HiOS 7.6, based on Android11, powers this hardware.
Pova 2 has a weighty body to fit the oversized battery. We’re looking at a 9.62 mm thick shell, finished in Polar Silver and Dazzle Black. Four lenses (led by a 48MP lens) and a cluster of LED flashes are housed inside the raised camera platform. Flip the phone over to find a 6.9” hole-punched screen. It delivers a Full HD+ resolution and contains an 8MP front camera.
