We don’t know if those tax changes in Pakistan will make anything better, but smartphone prices are certainly taking the heat. Tecno Pova 5 Pro 5G is one of the first ones to skyrocket its price tag. It was at Rs 41,000 earlier, the 8/256 GB option. But you can only buy it now at Rs 46,999.
That price hike is unfortunate. But what’s done is done. We only hope they made it good enough to leeway in the market. Pova 5 Pro rocks the boat, not by the specs, but by that design. And so we believe it still has a shot over much of the competition.
Mecha design infused with RGB strips. What’s not to like about that? Then there are 3D elements giving it that Infinix GT 20 Pro likeness. That arc interface and RGB accents scream a gaming phone.
It’s not as charming when you look at the front. Tecno new Pova model’s LCD is 6.78”. And those bezels are unforgivably chunky. But we can’t complain about that 120Hz refresh rate and high 1080p resolution. And there’s a punch hole on top that does 16MP selfies (with front LED flash).
Dimensity 6080 SoC and 8 GB RAM do well with your typical daily task. We know that hardware plugs into a 5000mAh cell. And 68W is the charging speed it’s capable of. Back on that accented plate are a 50 MP alpha lens and an additional unit for photos. And it all comes together with Android 13 x HIOS 13.
