Tecno will soon unveil its latest smartphone, the Pova 6 Neo, as indicated by its recent appearance on the Google Play Console database. It follows the debut of the Tecno Pova 6 Pro at MWC 2024, signaling the imminent arrival of the vanilla Tecno Pova 6 and Pova 6 Neo smartphones.
According to the Google Play Console listing, the TECNO POVA 6 Neo, identified by the model number TECNO LI6, will feature a flat display with a centered punch hole cutout for the selfie camera. The render also reveals the placement of the power button and volume rockers on the device's right side.
The display should offer a resolution of 2460 x 1080 pixels and a pixel density of 480 PPI. Powering the Pova 6 Neo is a MediaTek chipset with the codename MT6789/CD, boasting an octa-core architecture with two Cortex A76 cores clocked at 2.2GHz, six Cortex A55 cores at 2.0GHz, and a Mali G57 GPU.
The Google Play Console listing disguises the SoC with a serial number, but a reverse search on Google identifies it as MediaTek Helio G99 SoC. It comes locked with up to 8GB of RAM. The Tecno Pova new mobile will undoubtedly run on Tecno’s HiOS 13 based on Android 14 straight out of the box.
While the listing provides insight into several specifications, details regarding other features remain undisclosed. Notably, a previous sighting of the vanilla Tecno Pova 6 smartphone in the Google Play Console database also indicates an onboard MediaTek Helio G99 SoC.
Anticipation continues to mount for the official launch, and smartphone enthusiasts await further revelations about the Tecno Pova 6 and Pova 6 Neo’s specifications and features. Stay tuned if you want to learn more about Tecno’s upcoming devices.
