Tecno Pova 7 Lineup Coming Soon; Teasers Show a Glowing Camera Island

Tecno is building on the success of its Pova 6 series, and soon, we might see the Pova 7 clan in the market doing the same thing. We have found the company’s official teasers for a new gaming-focused series, and though it wasn’t mentioned by name, we believe it is the Pova 7 lineup.

These Tecno Pova 7 teasers show a unique and new design, probably extending to all the new members. A ring LED that partially wraps around the camera island looks more or less the same as a Nothing phone. If you aren’t familiar with Nothing, this is a British smartphone company founded by the former OnePlus CEO Carl Pei.

The smartphones made by Nothing have a glyph lighting interface on the back, which is also interactive. Pova 7 may not have that kind of functionality, but the ring LED around the camera module pays homage to the glyph design on Nothing phones. Whether it’s intentional or not is still open for debate.

You can also tell by the images that the camera has at least three lenses in an upside-down right triangular assortment. It looks clean, and the design is definitely well thought out. These days, Chinese phones seem to be the only ones innovating in that area. And props to Tecno for maintaining the status quo—if you're curious about affordability, checking out the Tecno price list might be worthwhile.

Of course, this is only the initial sighting of the Pova 7 series, so there are no specifications to be found anywhere on the web. But, it will push the rumor mill to look into the lineup further before the launch and hopefully find some specs to paint the bigger picture.

We know that the Pova 7 series has at least five phones. This was recently confirmed in a leak. They are intended for different segments and include the base Pova 7 (LJ6), Pova 7 5G (LJ7), Pova 7 Pro 5G (LJ8), Pova 7 Curve 5G (LJ8k), and Pova 7 Pro+ 5G (LJ9).

This group is certainly more populated than last time, but it does play right in the company’s wheelhouse. We know Tecno’s Spark 30, Camon, and Pop family have a wider range of selections every time a new series comes out, so it’s not surprising at all to see Pova following the suite. We’ll hear more about the devices from the company soon. If this news piqued your interest, you should stick around for more updates.
