The Tecno Pova 7 lineup will debut soon, and the first official teasers are already live on the company’s X/Twitter profile, finally putting the new devices on a launch track. One of the Pova 7 devices appeared in the video teaser for a second. Even though it was only a convoluted silhouette, Tecno did provide a glimpse of its design.
Tecno is going with a stellar theme for this year’s Pova family. The video teaser shows a whole sequence of CGI clips in space, with the final few seconds revealing the Pova 7’s rear design. It’s hard to guess if it’s the Pro or the standard variant. One thing we are sure about is that the mecha design will be making a comeback.
A screengrab from the video teaser explains the design. It’s a boxy frame with flat edges and an orange accent on the left side. The camera island is triangular, and there are three individual silos on top of it. Two of them might be the cameras, and the other could be a flash. Again, the convoluted design makes it difficult to assess the phone’s appearance.
Another teaser was revealed by the company in February, and it showed a glyph lighting system around the camera island. Before the official reveal, you might want to browse the Tecno price list. Hopefully, Tecno will release some more teasers soon with detailed Pova 7 renders.
The tagline “A Portal to the Supreme” is quite ambitious for what’s typically considered a mid-range lineup. Of course, it could mean another record-breaking battery pack, but you shouldn’t color your opinions just yet. The lineup will be coming soon, as the teaser confirms.
It’s building on the Pova 6 series’ legacy, so it already has our interest piqued. If it follows the same launch strategy as before, we will find at least four new models in the Pova 7 family. They are intended for different segments and include the base Pova 7 (LJ6), Pova 7 5G (LJ7), Pova 7 Pro 5G (LJ8), Pova 7 Curve 5G (LJ8k), and the last one might be Pova 7 Pro+ 5G (LJ9).
If history repeats itself, these newcomers will have high refresh rates, MTK chips, and massive batteries. Tecno will soon unveil the devices in the global markets, including the much-anticipated Tecno Pova 6, so stick around if you want to stay in the loop.
