Tecno Pova series is a performance-focused line of phones from the budget brand. The series currently features two models including the Tecno Pova 2 thats recently got launched in Pakistan. Now the Chinese phone maker is gearing up to introduce another edition soon. Meet the Tecno Pova Neo.
The Tecno Pova Neo is slated for launch in Africa soon. But the rumor mill has leaked everything there is to know about the phone. We’re looking at a duo-tone backplate and a dual camera encased in a rectangle. The shell comes in Powehi, Obsidian Black, and Geek Blue.
Next to the camera, the Pova Neo has a rear fingerprint scanner. Turn the phone over to reveal its notched, bezel-heavy display. It’s a large 6.82” IPS LCD that fills a tall 20.5:9 aspect ratio and 720P resolution. No high refresh rate or touch sampling rate is offered here. The camera inside the notch is 8MP.
The Pova Neo packs a long-lasting 6000 mAh battery, a valuable addition to the Tecno price catalog. Paired with the low-powered display, the Neo should deliver unbeatable battery life. When you run out, the phone is quickly charged over 18W of power.
The chip at the heart of Tecno Pova Neo is the MediaTek Helio P22. It’s an old, low-end platform, so we wouldn’t expect competitive performance. However, you get 4GB of multitasking memory and 64GB of internal storage, presumably expandable. The Tecno Pova Neo reportedly launches later in December. Rumors put its starting price at KSH 16,500 (~ Rs. 25,600.)
