Following the value-friendly Tecno Spark 7 Pro, the brand also brought its base Spark 7 edition to Pakistan. Without much fanfare, the announcement was made on Tecno Pakistan’s social media. The product listing is already up on the official website, containing the specs and pricing.
The Tecno Spark 7 is as entry-level as it gets; it has the most barebones, essential features only. For starters, the MediaTek Helio G70 is at the heart of the phone. The octa-core processor inside, clocked at 2.0GHz, is powered by a trimmed version of Android built for low-end hardware. Tecno’s HiOS runs on top of this Android Go.
It’s all backed up by a massive 6000 mAh battery which, combined with the low-powered hardware, allows for up to 30 days of standby on a single charge. You can expect two days or more between charges, but no fast-charging support is available for the Spark 7.
The shell is plastic with a grainy finish and a striped pattern at an affordable Tecno mobile price. It comes in a palette of four colorways — Morpheus Blue, Magnet Black, Summer Mint, and Spruce Green. A camera plate lives on the back of the Spark 7 with a 16MP camera and two sticker cameras. We find a convenient instant fingerprint scanner flanking it.
The Spark 7 features a 6.5” IPS LCD with a notch and a 720P resolution. The selfie camera here is 8MP. The build also includes a dated micro USB port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a slot for storage expansion.
Tecno Spark 7 is available in 4GB+64GB memory and storage configuration and starts from Rs. 18,999.
