Tecno Spark 8 series, which recently debuted with a phone of the same name, is growing to include more editions. The upcoming Spark 8P targets the entry-level segment and, like its baseline cousin, has competitive features to offer. Tecno has yet to announce the Spark 8P, but a new leak gives us an early peek.
The report comes from the Twitter user Paras Guglani (@passionategeekz), who published the images and other relevant details. We learn that the Tecno Spark 8P takes design cues from the standard Spark 8 — an expansive, oversized camera housing, line textured back, and notch screen. Its plastic shell is painted in glossy mint, blue, purple, and aquatic blue colors.
Flip the phone over to find a tall screen (presumably IPS LCD). It’s a 6.6” panel with a 1080P resolution. Spark 8P merges its fingerprint sensor with the power button instead of banishing it to the backplate. Dual stereo speaker support, by routing playback audio through the earpiece, is also in the cards.
Three lenses and a cluster of LED flashes make up the rear camera system, featuring a 50MP wide camera. Inside the Tecno Spark 8P, the MediaTek Helio G70 does all the processing. It runs on a 5000 mAh battery (that could use a fast-charging standard.)
You get 4GB of memory for multitasking and 128GB of internal storage. The Tecno mobile price tag and release details for the Spark 8P have yet to come out. But we expect a launch in the weeks that follow.
