Vivo's S series is a China-exclusive line of phones rolled out to the rest of the world as the Vivo V line. Its latest generation is the S12 series whereas the Vivo V23e / V23 are the newest in the V lineup. But reportedly, Vivo is already working on a sequel. Titled Vivo S15, the series was featured in a report detailing its specifications.
The Vivo S15 comes in three models: the baseline Vivo S15, the S15 Pro, and the S15E. Let’s start with the Pro edition. The S15 Pro rocks an OLED screen that curves and melts into the edges. It presumably delivers a high refresh rate and a sharp resolution. We’ll find a 50MP front camera embedded in this display. Everything is powered by the high-performance MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chip and blazing-fast 80W charging.
The baseline model remains a mystery, except for the Snapdragon 870 processor at the phone’s heart. Features like NFC and IR blasters are also included. Lastly, we glance at the upcoming S15E.
The Vivo new model rocks a 6.44” 1080P AMOLED display with a 16MP front camera. Plus, Vivo has hidden a fingerprint scanner below it. A cluster of three lenses on the back, led by a 50MP shooter, completes the camera setup. The chip is unspecified, but the octa-core CPU inside clocks at 2.8GHz. It’s hooked up to a 4605 mAh battery and 66W rapid charging.
You can choose from 6GB/8GB/12GB of memory and 128GB/256GB/512GB of internal storage. There’s no official timeline yet. But we speculate the S15 series is slated for launch next month.
