The T1 Lineup is a new family of budget phones from Vivo. It debuted in China last year. And Vivo has been rolling it out to new markets this year. The Vivo T1 5G and T1x 4G models of this series dropped in Malaysia yesterday, No official confirmation yet but the handsets could also land in Pakistan later on.
Vivo T1x
Both phones rock the design language typical of Vivo’s more budget-friendly offerings. The notch, the squarish three-lens camera plate, and flat edges. Vivo T1x 4G recycles this formula too. Its teardrop notch cuts into a 6.58” IPS LCD. The screen peaks at 1080P resolution and refreshes at 90Hz. And the notch contains an 8MP selfie camera.
The rest of the phone is crafted from plastic. The frame has sharp edges and features a MicroSD slot, a thumbprint sensor + power button key, a 3.5mm audio port, and a USB-C interface.
Turn the Vivo T1x 4G over to find its frosted plastic casing with a glossy finish offered in Gravity Black and Space Blue.
The Snapdragon 680 4G chip powers the Vivo T1x. It’s paired with a 5000 mAh battery and 18W charging. Previous-gen Android runs on the hardware. And a 50MP+2MP+2MP comprises the camera system. Vivo T1x 4G is priced at RM 799 (~ Rs. 34,000) and comes in 4GB+64GB, and 8GB+128GB storage trims.
Vivo T1 5G
Vivo T1 5G reinforces Vivo’s confusing naming scheme (two 5G T1 phones already exist.) But it has a mildly different design.
The new Vivo T1 5G display is a competitive 6.44” AMOLED featuring: a 90Hz refresh rate, 1300 nits of high brightness, 1080P resolution, in-display fingerprint reader, and support for HDR10+ content. Vivo phones' price leaks were quite accurate with the guessing.
The camera system rocks a 64MP wide, 8MP ultra-wide, and 2MP macro array. And the 16MP front camera lives inside a U-shaped notch. The mid-range Snapdragon 778G, a 4700 mAh battery, and 66W Flash Charge power the Vivo T1 5G.
You can pick from Turbo Black and Turbo Cyan colors. The T1 5G starts from RM 1,299 (~ Rs. 55,500.)
