Vivo V21 SE Certified Before Its Upcoming Launch; Coming Soon with Dimensity 800U SoC

Vivo currently has the upcoming Vivo V21 series in the works that reportedly debuts any week now. Out of the three editions featured in this lineup — Vivo V21 Pro, the standard V21, and V21 SE —  a certification document belonging to the V21 SE was spotted online.

First tweeted by the phone leaker Mukul Sharma (better known as @stufflistings), the Vivo V21 SE has been registered with the IMEI database. Mr. Sharma further suspects that based on the V21 SE model name, it could be a rebranded or tweaked iQOO U3 from Vivo China’s line of performance phones.

If that is the case, we have a decent idea of what to expect from the Vivo V20 SE's successor. iQOO U3 came out in December last year. It’s a budget 5G model built on the MediaTek Dimensity 800U chip. You get 128GB of UFS 2.2 non-expandable storage and 6GB/8GB of memory.

They're hooked up to a 5000 mAh battery that fast charges over 18W. The latest Android11 runs on the device (it remains to be seen if the skin on top would be OriginOS or the old-gen FunTouchOS.)

Next, we have the display and optics. If the features are shared between the two phones, the V21 SE will use a 6.58” 90Hz IPS LCD with a 1080P resolution and a notch bleeding into it (encased in this housing is an 8MP front camera.) The rear camera system adopts a 48MP primary camera and a 2MP portrait sensor. No word on the Vivo mobile price yet.
